ATC requested to declare Solat Mirza’s new execution date

QUETTA: An Anti-Terrorism court on Saturday received a letter to determine a new execution date of Saulat Mirza from prison administration at Machh jail.
The new date is likely to be made public on March 24, Tuesday.
According to the sources, the prison administration has appealed for Mirza’s black warrant again.
On March 18, following his revelations which were made merely hours before he was destined to be hanged, instructions to change Mirza’s execution for 72 hours were received by jail authorities.
Meanwhile, the Interior Ministery had sent a message to Prime Minister appealing to a stay on Mirza’s execution and delayed for another 90 days.
On Thursday, the government had decided to re-open the murder case of doomed KESC Managing Director Shahid Hamid, a day after Mirza made grave allegations at Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), hours before his execution on Thursday.
