Michael McIntyre walks off stage during sold-out gig

Michael McIntyre dramatically walked off stage during a sold-out stand-up show and demanded security deal with a woman that wouldn’t stop using her mobile phone.
The comedian noticed the woman, sat in the front row at Darlington’s Civic Theatre, using her phone and after having quite enough, he made an abrupt exit from the stage and told security, ‘sort it out, I’ll be back’.
While some fans were chanting for the rude woman to be removed from the venue, theatre staff instead chose to speak to the woman and calm her down.
McIntyre returned to the stage a few minutes later and completed his set, in which he previewed material for his 2015 tour.
However, some theatregoers were so enraged by the woman’s behaviour that a string of them later took to Twitter to apologise to McIntyre for the ‘idiot on the front row':
Further defending McIntyre’s decision to get security involved, Facebook user Danny Wragg, who had attended the gig, attempted to explain the situation. He said: ‘He did what all good comedians do and worked with it making jokes and not embarrassing her but making people and herself aware she was being rude and loud.
‘The incident which caused all this started when not only was she shouting and talking to who she claimed was her ‘niece’ whether it was on the phone or the girl next to her, it was loud.
