KARACHI: The Pakistan Squash Federation (PSF) was awarded the hosting rights of the 2015 World Cup after successfully conducting the recently-concluded Asian Championship in Islamabad. That was a major development of PSF.
During the Asian event, the federation had provided full-proof security and top-class facilities. After that victory, the country has moved one step closer to reviving international sports in the country.
PSF Senior Vice-President Razi Nawab, also the Asian Squash Federation vice-president said, “It’s a big achievement for us. We have got the fruit of our efforts. This is a good sign because Pakistan has already suffered a lot during the last few years. As Pakistan has suffered a lot in the last few years, this victory is a good sign to see positive change in the future, they added.
“I would like to sincerely thank the Asian Squash Federation for giving us the honour.”
This was a impressive progress for Pakistan in its efforts of reviving international sports in the country, said Razi
“I’m delighted we’ve been given an opportunity to organize an event of this magnitude. We’re fully capable of ensuring a flawless event.”
At the same time, the PSF prepares to finalize its four-member team for the World Team Championship that starts next month. Team has good hope for the upcoming championship as well.
