The Bathurst 12-Hour endurance race is heading into a tightly fought final 90 minutes with six cars remaining on the lead lap headed by the Nissan GT-R driven by Belgian driver Wolfgang Reip.
The sole Nissan in the race was being chased by a Bentley, the pair of Phoenix Racing Audis, an Aston Martin and a Mercedes-Benz with 225 laps completed and just under two hours to run at the Mt Panorama circuit.
An incident packed race that started just before daybreak has seen a record number of 17 safety car interruptions so far and has opened up a number of strategic pit-stop possibilities for the leading teams in run to the finish.
Reip and his team-mates Katsumasa Chiyo (Japan) and Florian Strauss (Germany) have been front-runners throughout the race while the big Bentley has steadily moved up to second place with British driver Steven Kane at the wheel.

The New Zealand entered Trass Family Motorsport Ferrari 458 Italia driven by John McIntyre, Jono Lester and Graeme Smyth has rejoined the race after losing a wheel and being delayed for 16 laps. The race will finish at 7.50pm (NZ time).
